for me i still prefer Kaname as he is very protective over Yuuki but i also think that Zero is not bad. I also pity both of them...
Zero likes Yuuki but he doesn't want to admit (so cute~) while Kaname is jealous of him cuz he could stay with her to protect her. And after Zero knew that Yuuki is a pure-blood vampire he is confused with his emotions whether want to hate her or not (cuz last time Zero's family was killed by another pure-blood vamp. too so now he hates vamps. including himself for turning into a vamp.)...
Kaname on the other hand is sad and lonely... Since he is also a vamp. he can't be with her cuz she's scared of vampires (read the manga or watch it in youtube then you understand). But Kaname will do anything to protect her... Even it means to kill anyone...
the manga still ongoing but the anime already finish so go and read or watch
